My love of thrifting makes my Cult party outfits so easy to coordinate.

Because of where I live it seems to be very easy for me to find lots of thrifted items at great prices to help make a great Cult Party or Dolly Kei wardrobe.  Its important to note that I have worn slips as dresses for quite some time and had a large amount of bloomers in my closet already.  really the only thing missing was Piegnoir's really.  I had 2 when I first heard the term Cult Party.  I had been calling it my Boudior style for a few years.  I had a group of friends in bellydance who dressed this way where I was from in CA and it just kinda had a comfy feeling to it.  I also think that having fibromyalgia made it more user friendly for sure.  Often comfort plays a big part in what I wear and how it feels on as well.  The cotton piece above was listed for 3.99.  It had a red spot on it toward the bottom so I talked them down at Goodwill to 1.99.  Hey 2 bucks is 2 bucks and my budget is small.  I figured I would bring it home and do what I love to do which is add hearts of different fabric to it since I love heart shapes and wish they were on all my clothes.  Its also a great way to add red into my outfits which is key in the Cult Party style.  Does'nt hurt that it makes my heart shoes and bag ready to match and go.  Then I found this.

This piece was super vintagy feeling in both appearance and feel.  Super soft to the touch all the lace was soft and the details were dainty.  The sleeves were so light and made my arms look so tiny. For the bonus price of 1.29 (every monday at goodwill here the half off tag from the week before is 1.29 on monday regardless of what it is...) I scored big.  So last moday for about 3.50 with tax I was out the door with two new pieces I loved.

Most of my friends love to thrift with me and say I am their lucky charm.  I find awesome stuff almost everytime I go and they seem to only find stuff when we go together.  I just think its because I love the hunt so much that they start to love it to.  What I am coming to realize is now when I go to regular retail stores I just can't bear to part with 14.99 for someting if I could possible get it for 1.29 and make it my own with a few patches or flowers or hearts.  I like that my outfits are unique and fun and I never have to worry about showing up dressed like anyone else.
